The Gatlin Brothers

i can never think of a good title

I love reading my wife's blog "The Chronicles of Us." She writes so well. The best I can do is take a picture of something and write a little caption and then move on. After reading her posts though perhaps I can give it another try.  Well, I am sitting out in the garage typing on my computer. I have to sit out in the garage and type because the folding part of my screen is broken. My computer screen just kind flops around. I can still use it and it works fine, but I have to prop it up on my electrical tool box. Pretty ghetto.  How I would love to get this computer fixed and/or get a new laptop.  I would love to be able to sit comfortably in the bed or on the couch and goof off on my computer.  At least my computer's speakers still work. I am listening to Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is." I love that song. Life can be so hard sometimes. It is good to listen or read things that are in encouraging. On the opposite end of that. Everyday, when I drive to work, i listen to NPR. That can be depressing, because they are always talking about how bad everything in our country is getting. Before I had a wife and children I wouldn't have cared if the economy failed. I can say though that when I hear the daily news I think about my wife and my kids and our futures.  They are the most important things in my life.  I have been trying to job hunt online at night when I get home from work. I feel out applications online and wonder. Does this job even exist anymore? Sometimes I think that most of those jobs online are baloney anyway, but still I fill them out.  It's kinda like fishing, you might not get any bites but you never know, you just catch the big one.
Work has been busy. This time of year always is. Mixed with gigging it feels like I have been a ghost around the house. I was so happy to have been able to get off early this afternoon and spend the evening with my family. I am looking forward to the coming week when I'll have a good bit of time off for the holidays.  I can't believe that my/our kids are growing so fast.   E. has been doing such a great job with them. N. can communicate with signs now and he can say a handful of words. I am so proud of him. I am proud of my little J. too. She turned 5 months the other day. She is sitting up and reaching for things. She plays so intently with her toys.  She smiles so big at me when I look at her. It is just amazing.  I love my family.
I think I will end on that note.  Peace and Blessings
